Interpretation
Conference interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting or translation is the best known and most flexible way of providing this service at events such as board meetings, different types of conferences and high-level meetings, etc. The simultaneous interpreter or translator is the bridge between the language used by the speaker and the language into which the speech needs to be translated simultaneously as they speak. Special technical equipment is needed for this type of interpreting, consisting of interpreting booths equipped with a console, a headset and a microphone.
Interpreters work in soundproof booths and relay the speaker’s words to the audience in real time using an audio system and a simultaneous interpreting technique which, in multilingual events, allows participants to hear the content of the speech in their native language. Another possibility is to use a portable device, called an infoport, instead of a booth. This is very useful for events with a small number of participants.
We work with the best audio-visual equipment providers to ensure that not even the smallest detail is overlooked at your event. Not sure what you need? Don’t worry, we will advise you! Simply contact us.

Consecutive interpreting
Consecutive interpreting or translation is when the interpreter takes notes while the speaker is talking and then translates their speech into the relevant language.
In this mode of interpretation, the interpreter waits until the speaker finishes a part of their talk before translating it to the audience. The speaker pauses to allow the interpreter to relay their message in the desired language.
This type of interpretation is widely used in press conferences, interviews, business lunches and for short speeches, where simultaneous interpretation technology is not available.

Liaison interpreting
In liaison interpreting or translation, also known as whispered or chuchotage interpreting, the interpreter sits close to the person that needs the service and whispers the translation into their ear simultaneously as the speaker is talking.
This is used in situations where only one or two people need interpretation, and simultaneous interpreting equipment is not available. It is commonly used at business meetings, private guided tours and interviews.

Sworn interpretation
Sworn interpretation or translation is usually carried out at venues such as notary’s offices and courts. In this case, the interpreter must hold an official qualification as a sworn or certified translator/interpreter for the language in question, which is awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after passing the relevant exam.
Sworn translations are not confined solely to the legal field, but may also be required in the administrative and academic spheres. Documents such as birth certificates, university qualifications, employment contracts and property deeds often have to be translated by a sworn translator/interpreter to be officially recognised abroad or by the competent authorities.
